Youth
Welcome to Emmanuel Student Ministries!
"Our mission is to disciple students in the Gospel through the preaching of the Word that they might attain the unity of the faith and the knowledge of Jesus Christ, (Ephesians 4:13)."
Emmanuel Student Ministries is the youth group for students in 7th through 12th grade. We study God’s Word, play games, eat food, go to concerts, go to camps, host Disciple Now retreats, and much more! Check out our Facebook page here!
When do we meet?
- Sunday School at 9:30am
- Sunday Evenings at 6:00pm
A typical youth group night consists of 15-20 minutes of singing worship songs, followed by biblical teaching from a book of the Bible, 30-45 minutes of games and food, then. Currently, we finished 1 John and Revelation looking at how Christ has already Satan, sin, and death on our behalf - a truth that gives us great hope for the future. We are finished with youth group by 8:00pm on Sunday nights.
If there is one word to describe the youth group it would be discipleship. This is based our of Ephesians 4:13-16, to grow to Christ-like maturity by attaining unity in the faith and knowledge of God, so that our teens will know what they believe and why, not being deceived by false teachers, other religions, or secularism. Also, discipleship involves killing sin, (putting to death the deeds of the flesh), in our lives as Paul instructs in Romans 8:13. In doing so, we are growing in holiness. This is another way of becoming more Christ-like in our lives which we hope to see in the live of our students.
